    Law Firm and Judgment

I got a letter from a law firm saying they are representing a credit card company, and that a judgement is being placed against me. I do not get my mail on time (there are reasons), and it said I was to attend a deposition over a month ago. Clearly, I didn't do that. The debt in question doesn't even appear on my credit report. I've done a really good job of clearing out all my old debt, and this isn't even listed on there as a closed account. It's for a few thousand dollars, and the letter said I needed to bring proof of all my assets and income.

I moved your post here. It sounds like you didn't receive the mail for a few months since depositions are usually scheduled out some amount of time with opportunity to reschedule. It appears that you ignored the collection. The deposition was likely to determine how much they can get through a levy action or a garnishment.

You need to do something about this. I don't see any question here.

      Hi justbroke,
I genuinely didn't receive any mail regarding law firm, so I really dont know how to reschedule. I'll definitely be looking into the situation more closely now and take advice from this on how best to address it. Thanks for your reply.
