    Ohio new excemption April's 1st 25

Hello all. I'm new here and happy I found this. I have a question on april 1st. We are filling chapter 7 in ohio and need to ask a question. I did find after digging for days and hours a new list of the excemption laws that change here in ohio on April 1st. We're keeping home and car but we need to find the new laws. Like I said I found a spread of the laws but want to make sure there real. They seem real to me.
I cant figure out how to post it

    Homestead 182,625$
    automobile 5,025$
    Cash 625$
    house item 800$
    All items total 16,850$
    jewelry 2,125$
    books and tools 3,200$
    bodily injury money 31,650
    wild card 1,675$

    Can anyone confirm theses?

    Thanks all for the insite

Always look at the current statute itself. https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-...ection-2329.66

In the code, ORS 2329.66(B), it reads that the Ohio Judicial Conference shall update from 4/1/2010 and every third year after that.

A search for "2028 ohio judicial conference revised exemptions 2329.66" finds the latest update named "Exemptions from Execution, Garnishment, Attachment, or Sale." That link is below.

You can't get more official than that.

NOTE: These are valid 4/1/2025 through 3/31/2028. Look at the rightmost column.

That's the exact thing I found! Looks like I was correct. Well needed the little extra for the homestead exemption since I'm not on the deed only my wife's is. That new laws makes us around 20sih k safe now. We were really close before april 1st.

We just couldn't figure out the dower rights laws in ohio on how they accounted the one third dower rights. One way gave me 100k the other was like 9k. We didn't wanna risk it. We had a professional appraisal and all done. Thanks for easing my mind a bit. I really appreciate that
