While the Diner's Card was the first, the main problem was that Americans began to accept the get it now pay for it later idea. Thus we are were we are today

Yeah, I don't blame McNamara. He was an entrepreneur, had an idea that he brought to market, and helped to make it successful. This is almost like blaming heavy metal music for helping people commit suicide. I don't buy it. (Not even on credit! ;-) )
