So Do You Think I'm Screwed?

if i have over 40k with one creditor?

mainly balance transfers, mainly old (ie 3 plus yrs) although some of it is from the past year?

i'm trying to put as much time inbetween as i can - hopefully over a year.

I don't think it will matter as long as you haven't charged anything lately. I owe over 20k on one of my credit cards.

With that much time between the charges and filing, I'd be surprised to see one of the big credit card creditors make a peep. Although $40K to us is a fortune, to the big boys, it's a drop in the ocean.

I had a BOA credit card with a balance of $15,500 - they didn't even file a claim. On the other hand, I had a Old Navy credit card with a balance of $150 and they filed a claim.

Make at least 3 payments on each card, don't charge anything in the last 90 days and it is doubtful anyone will object.

Many of us are nervous about this, but usually no one objects..........

            You should be okay .

Putting as much time as possible is a good idea.
