a few questions about chap 7 please

if you have zero income for 6 months can you just file 7 ( with an attorney) or do you still have to take the means test and list all of your expenses or does the fact you had no income for last 6 months just move you into filing chapter 7?

    pretty much cut and dried?

    thanks

Yes, you always have to take the means test and list your income/expenses on the I and J schedules.

Your Means Test will be short and sweet - over almost before it starts at the end of the first section.

Your trustee may ask at your 341 meeting how you've been surviving with no income for six months, so be prepared to answer that question.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
