Right now we are 963$ over median but our expenses are more than income, so we are eligible for C7. We haven't filed yet, but will file in May. If I get the job I am interviewing for this week, will that keep us from filing C7?

Depends on how much extra income the new job will bring in during the last six full calendar months before you file. Some of the increase can be offset with extra new expenses related to the job as well. What's the expected income difference going to be if you do get the new job?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

It won't keep you from filing, but as an above-median already, it will invite more scrutiny from the UST, especially since you will have to include the additional income on the Schedule I as your projected monthly income. I would not rely on the Means Test B22's "mechanical" aspects (i.e the six month's historical income) to be entirely dispositive as to the presumption of abuse.
