    Drive-by Photographer

Hello, all. This morning, my fiancee saw a man stop in front of our house, snap some pics, then drive off. I'm a tad freaked out about it.

I filed pro se Ch13 two days before the scheduled auction of my house (long story, mortgage company withdrew the workout plan without my knowledge and I discovered through a 3rd party that I had less than a week before the sale date). I filed as much paperwork as I could gather in the short timeframe, obtained a case number, and was given the usual 15 days to gather and file the remaining paperwork. The due date is tomorrow, and I have no reason to think that I won't be ready.

But who could be taking pics of my house, and why??

Either realtor or people interested in buying forclosed (or will be defaulted) properties. They checked out court records, bank records, or county tax information, etc.... to know yours!

Also could be your mortgage company documenting the state of the property. Next time if you or your fiancee sees a photographer, go ask politely what they are doing.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

I'm sure you're right. It was unnerving, though.

I'm sure Steve would have gone out to ask, if it hadn't been 7 am and he wasn't in his bathrobe.
