Stimulus coming earlier than expected

Did everyone get a letter from the IRS about the rebate? We filed in Feb. and got a small refund. We were expecting to get a rebate this week, but didn't get the "letter" that others have mentioned.

Stimulus coming earlier than expected

President Bush acknowledged that the economy is weakening, but expressed hope that tax rebates that start going out on Monday should help shore things up."This money is going to help Americans offset the high prices we're seeing at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and will also give our economy a boost to help us pull out of this economic slowdown," he said Friday in brief remarks at the White House.The rebates range from $300 to $1,200 and are the centerpiece of the government's $168 billion stimulus package, enacted in February, to brace the teetering economy. Roughly 130 million households are expected to get them. The Bush administration is hoping that people will spend the money, helping to bolster the economy.

just checked checking acct today, and received the 250 stimulus today

umm.. this thread was from 2008. The only stimulus you should be receiving is more money your check from your employer. Junker may want to make sure the 250.00 is not a tax return payment from over payment.

NO, its the 250 bucks for being on ss or va pension that we get from obama. got it today. all retired on social security get it
