I used to use my check register religiously back when online banking wasn't common, but I try to use my debit card for as much as I can now so that I can keep track online.
Actually because I'm on such a strict budget now, I sat down yesterday and came up with a simple Excel spreadsheet so that I can track where all of my money goes. It even has a simple pie chart. I'm even trying to save a little, hopefully.
BK forces me to keep track of receipts too.

I haven't kept a check registry for about 10 years.....
However I've also not bounced only 2 checks I think in that time. (That was caused by a paycheck bouncing
).
I do however for the last year regularly check my account online and now I have carbons of all my checks. So I can keep tabs on it.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Nothing like antique check registers!
That sounds about right. I know I used to use them, just can't really remember when.

I use to also until online banking. The bank we switched to just before we filed will e-mail your balance to you every day if you like and will send alerts to your cell phone if it reaches a certain level you choose. I dont the registery. Online much easier.Filed Ch 7 - 04/08/2008 - Done
