Bankruptcy and Pay Pal accounts

I was wondering if anyone on here uses a Pay Pay account for buying or selling on E-Bay? I owe about 580 on a Pay Pal Credit Card--which is actually through GE Money, and I want to be able to continue to use Pay Pal after my bankruptcy.

I am wondering, if I include the PayPal credit in my bankruptcy, will I still be able to use PayPal?

Because I am filing before they go after my checking accounts, I am hoping that I will be able to continue to have my Pay Pal transactions go through my checking account that was set up for my business. I will be closing the shop, but I plan on keeping the DBA name for my business for transactions on E-Bay, etc.

Any info on this?

There have been numerous discussions on here about PayPal, selling on eBay utilizing PayPal, etc. Do a search - believe me, you will find a lot!

I did file on my Paypal GE money bank credit and it is seprate from your paypal. It simply disappeared from my account. No issues with paypal at all I can still use it. Dragonnfly

Dragonfly, can you still use it to sell too? Just wondering. I was worried about this too but never did find a definitive answer so that is the one account I paid off before filing (not worried, it was less than the preferential amount).

Yes I have had no problems. The credit account from GE Money Bank is a seprate account and a completly different business then paypal. The account just disappeared from my account home page. I had a $10 paypal balance and I have used that since. I have paid for 2 items using paypal. My paypal debit card still works fine too. I haven't sold anything recently but if they will let me send money I dont know why they wouldn't let me receive. Good Luck. Dragonnfly
