    Flawed???

Earlier this year a discussion here centered on credit card companies not approving folks who had PO Box mailing addresses but insisting that applicants provide residential addresses to where they can send bills/other forms of communications to. The reason given - by posters here - is that if they (creditors) want to find you they will find you easier at the residential address than having to go through the process of getting the postal service to reveal youur residential address.
BUT - now comes the flaw. Credit card companies are pushing the save green method by enticing you to receive your statements via e-mail at your email address so you can pay online.
I suppose this saves them on paper, postage, and check processing expenses.
When folks move and take their computers from point A to point B, email addresses will stay the same. So how will they really know where you live if you don't change your mailing address when you move?

Again, pull out the paperwork you signed when you obtained the credit. In there somewhere is a clause stating you must notify them within a certain period of time if you move. That information is also listed on your monthly online statement. There is usually a reminder around your name/address asking ...."have you moved? If so, fill in your new address here...." Don't worry - they have everything covered....
