Question Bankruptcy and Stock margin Debit

I lost over 200K as the result of Lehman Brothers Bankruptcy. I won Scottrade 52K in margin debt . My wife has been our of work for awhile so I could no pay off the debt.

I plan to file for Bankruptcy. I wonder if this kind of debt could be discharge in Bankruptcy

I believe that it would be, as it is basically unsecured debt. Other stocks in your portfolio (if you have any) are used to secure it, so those stocks may go to Scottrade, but they would go to the trustee if not.
