can you keep a credit card?

Sorry for running two posts right off the bat, I was not sure if I should have just updated my car post. sorry if that is wrong.

    anyways,
I have a company CC that is in my name that I use for traveling. I travel off and on, so my company added me to the Amex plan. it is in my name, I get the bill, but it is only for company travel.

the balance is paid in full right after it is used so there is nave a balance over 25 days on it. when we file, am I going to need to give this up? can I still use it before we file and after we file?
I hate using a debit card for travel, and some places in NY will not even take them as the bill in a week can be in the 3K range at times for just the hotel.

is there a way to protect that CC and keep it?

thanks again for the help guys.

Most likely AM/Ex will cancel the credit card. I had a Am/Ex corporate card through Am/Ex and I received a letter from them about three weeks after I filed that they received notification that I filed bankruptcy and that my card was cancelled. I did not include them in my filing but they got wind of my filing somehow. I recommend speaking with your company's HR dept about coming up with alternative cards for travel...

Since you travel with your company, you may have a clause in your Employment Agreement with your employer that states that if you file bankruptcy, you must inform your employer immediately. If you are in a supervisory/managerial/executive position and are not just a regular, at will employee, check your employment contract as to your situation.

True. My hubby has/had a corporate AMEX card for schooling expenses/travel and we had to disclose our up coming BK (one of the cards we are filing on is a personal AMEX account) to his company's HR department. Now, if he has to travel or has school expenses pop up, we contact HR and they pay the bill.

        Good Luck!
