im thinking of getting a part time job soon. anyone have any part time jobs they really enjoy and pay well? or does anyone have a at home job that is legit? im just thinking what to look for.
I do some mystery shopping of apartments and also for the banking industry. These are the highest pay per shop I have found. (About $40/shop then I go home and write a report). It depends on what part of the country you are in for the per shop rate.
* There are many scams on mystery shopping, you should never have to pay them to get in on it *
I think it's a good idea, grocery money, etc.
I also became a substitute teacher and it pays here $100 per day.
Much thanks for all the support and information I receive on this forum.

Well, most "Part-time" jobs are not highly paid. However, there's some which aren't all too bad, depending on location and customers.
Like JR mentioned, pizza delivery. However, that depends upon how good a mood the customer is in. If I had a choice (I work on weekends at times, so I look more towards OT then a second job) about who to work for, I'd go with the "Take and bake" pizza shops. No matter the weather (usually) there's still going to want you to come in and if you don't make alot of product, you still get paid.
Around here, that's about $8 an hour..For 16-20 hours each weekend, that's an extra $128-$160 About $100-$130 after taxes.
I enjoy substitute teaching--it doesn't pay that well here--$60-80 depending on the school district--but it's a short day and I stick with elementary school and I enjoy it.
Selling Avon has become very hot recently with this economy. I don't do it and never have but it has increased in our workplace and was a topic a few weeks ago on TV that many are doing it to supplement income. The problem here is if that you have too many people doing it in your area, you won't make that much.

I work at home- a home office. I'm a freelance writer. I work part time and generally make full time money. But I have a degree in writing and years in the profession.
I have a PT job that pays very well for our area, $18.00 an hour. I have a Master's Degree in Library Science, and I am the adjunct reference librarian at the local community college. It's four hours a night and would be great if I could get more hours. Right now, I'm only working 8 hours a week--would like 16, but no--budget cuts. Of course, I work not at all when the college is not in session.
I am looking for other PT opportunities, but don't want anything to interfere with the college job. There have been many cuts in the local economy in our area.
Well seeing the minimum wage is going up or has gone up in some states. $7.25 isn't bad. I work pt at a grocery store i started at $6.50 an hour.
You can make good money and work PT doing vending jobs, things like keebler and gretting cards. A friend makes about $10 an hour. I was told In and Out Burger starts at about $10. I sold AVON and it didn't pay well. To many expenses. Also cost me money everytime someone returned something.
Some people do good but you need to be a good salesperson or know alot of people that buy alot. I had a hard time finding good customers.

When I first arrived in MO, the state min was still $5.15 or something like that...Incrediable that people could even LIVE much less survive at that level of pay.
How did you find the mystery shoppers job? I would love to do this for extra money. Could you PM me with some exact information about who you work for?
