My husband and I had our 341 meeting on January 20, 2009. I noticed a lot of people are talking about PACER. What is PACER, and when will we know if everything was discharged.

(Jamila, I moved your question off the unrelated thread you posted it to to here in its own thread. You'll get more and better answers this way. In the future, please don't "hijack" someone else's thread - please start your own. Thanks! -lrprn)
PACER stands for Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER). It's an electronic public access service that allows users to obtain case and docket information from Bankruptcy and other federal courts via the Internet.
PACER is not for the faint of heart. Because it's sponsored by the government, they have to allow taxpayers (us
) to have access. However, it's not easy to use because it's meant for lawyers and judges, not us.
Also although getting a usernamen and password to access PACER is free, there is an $0.08/page charge to view many of the documents related to your case.
To find out more about PACER and how it works, take a look through the frequently asked PACER questions at http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/faq.htmlI am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
