what happens if a company cancels your card and you still have a balance?

im concerened about the chase aquisition (sp) of wamu.
my wamu card expires in april and i dont know if chase will send a new card.
i bked on chase in 2005 and got a wamu card in 2007 to get me back on track. i havent missed a payment and paid more then the min.

my question is..what happens if chase cancels my account that i still have a blanace on............will i have to pay it in full all at once?

I have a closed card I make regular monthly payments on. Sometimes they give you a new card if they discontinue an active card.

No...you will owe the balance and be allowed to pay it back as before under the same terms and conditions. Your account will be listed as being closed by lender.
