You might look into USAA. I have had them for years and I inquired about this very subject before filing. they said they don't look at that. Their rates are very low, and you no longer have to be military to join. Their web site is www.usaa.com

I would like to know about any companies you find that don't use credit scores to figure rates. Post them in this thread. I drive safely, never had an accident, and haven't had any tickets at all since I moved away from Eugene, Oregon 5 years ago, but I'm paying very high insurance payments.Originally posted by GenencoI know folks, it's just another way to get $$ out of us, in one way or another..I too have had NO accidents since I was 21 (I'm 45 now) and NO tickets since I was 18 and never have let insurance lapse.
I'm going to start looking for insurance companies who don't use credit scores AND write the the state legislature to disallow sneaky little things like this to occur...
Maybe State Farm...I always did like them, though the reason I left was that the policies would go up and down like a skyrocket...:P
Arizona passed a law that makes driving without insurance very risky. If a cop pulls you over for anything at all, and you can't prove you have insurance at that moment, they seize and impound your vehicle on the spot. The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.
