We had a few issues. We were over median but unemployed and showed a ton of DMI. We were assured this was fine because of unemployment but I didn't believe them. Every day was like please get a job but not too good of a job or please wait till after the 341 at least. We had insider payments that didn't end up being an issue but I was extremely worried about them. We were discharged this week and I don't think that it's even sunk in yet. Of course we still have the foreclosure to deal with so maybe that's why. We have good days and bad days but in the end I think it's all going to work out.

I wasn't worried that much, but I was nervous for my 341, which was yesterday. If you haven't seen my thread yet, it lasted about 30 to 45 seconds. I filed with a judgment, plus I have a job. I got a payday loan within the 90-day period before filing. I even withdrew money that didn't go to household expenses. All this from my checking account, not a credit card, so maybe that helped me. I had no excuse for not paying my bills. Just bad handling. I am head of household, though, with 4 mouths to feed (including mine). One is my son and the other 2 are my elderly parents, who I've been claiming on my taxes for 8 years now. I was a littled worried because I thought they'd look at my salary and say "she makes a lot of money", which I don't, but it's not such a bad number before taxes. I live in NY! Unless you make $200,000 a year, you don't make much. If you don't have crazy stuff like transferring a huge amount of money or selling stuff, you're OK, in my opinion, of course.

We are really in the beginning stages, but sometimes I do worry. I am having trouble coming up with some of the paperwork (part of the reason we are over our heads in debt - poor records keeping) and I worry that the whole thing will go down in flames. I just keep pushing ahead and praying things will work out.

We are filing pro se and I am in the process of filling out all of the paperwork. It's a lot and I had plans to be filed by now. I'm in school and have a family to take care of so I'm pressed for time. I am very nervous some days and not so nervous other days. Thanks to this great forum and all of the helpful, knowledgeable people, I handle this situation better. I'm not alone in bankruptcy and that's a good feeling. I see the light at the end of the tunnel because I have followed others triumphant stories on this board.

Same here. No creditors showed up at my 341 and it was yesterday.

I didn't have any creditors show up at mine. I was nervous that I would have a few because it just seemed like it was just my luck. Out of the 30 or 40 cases I watched only two creditors showed up. 1 was because of a large charge just before filing and the other was a bank that new the debtor was wanting to keep paying on the house they were in.

I have filed and waiting for the 341. I am sick with nerves worrying that some problem will come up and we do not get discharged.

Our case is weird because we are under median on the 6 month look back, but our income has gone up and we would barely pass the means test if we had to use current income. Our schedule I and J balance leaving almost nothing for disposable income, but the numbers are high. It looks like we make 10k a month on paper. We see less than half of that because of business expenses and taxes. But it still freaks me out to see our income that high.

Everytime the mailman comes to the house I am *sure* that there will be a 707b letter for us. We can prove we are not abusing the system, but I really do not want to have months of paperwork and stress. We want to put this nightmare behind us.

Good luck with your case! I feel like we all need al the luck we can get!

Oh yes. I was convinced it wasn't going to go through. I had a number of complicated elements in the filing, and I was certain at least one of them would trigger potential issues.

When it all sailed through I was stunned. I still didn't believe it until the discharge came.

Don't worry, SunkShip, your current income doesn't count, just your income at time of filing. Things will work out for you, I'm sure.

This is exactly how I feel. If it actually goes through it's almost too good to be true I guess. Our lawyer keeps saying not to worry - we're garden variety BK.....but is he just a fast talker?! I don't know. We are over median and have a lot of CC to discharge.

We filed a few weeks ago and recently got a letter from ust office saying they are doing a 707b review on our case. They asked about a dozen seemingly stupid questions. We had only 2 nights to get our replies to them so I'm hoping we answered their questions as they wanted but who knows. Until it's all done I am really nervous.

I pray everything goes well for you. That has to be hard, but just try to think positive. I know it is easier said than done.
