Hi Friends- I am in the Western District bankruptcy court and am in Michigan. I want to call and play stupid and see if I can't get my bankruptcy up at the top of the pile in hopes of a quicker discharge. I filed in July my meeting was the beginning of September. In November my attorney filed an extension so he could better explain reaffirmation. We didn't reaffirm and he recently withdrew the extension of time. So now, it is the waiting game to be discharged. I was thinking.... (scary I know) that I could nicely call and ask if they can check the status and when they thought the discharge would be. You never know, it might work. After all, it is ready to be discharged I just need someone to change the status to discharged.
Think I should do that??? Can anyone help me find that contact number because I have no idea how to find it. There are 4 different offices for the western district. I think ours is out of Grand Rapids??? But I am not sure on that either...
