There are jobs out there, maybe not what you want to do, but they are out there.
Amount of credit card debt prior to losing job--$0, zero, nada, nil. Had paid off my credit card in full everytime, on time since I was 13 years old--that's 23 years of perfect payments. Never been late on a mortgage, HELOC, or auto payment. But losing job, having car accident, going without medical insurance, medical problems, etc. wiped me out--the stock, savings, 401K.

Did I want to work any job for minimum wage? Hell, yes. Could I? If it required long hours standing or lifting I could not due to medical limitations. Have 2 master's degrees--can you say overqualified and supervisors scared of hiring you since (1) they're afraid of losing their own job, and (2) know that you'll leave once something better comes along.

The only way I finally got a job was by lying and stating I only had a B.S. and didn't mention my 2 M.S. degrees.

So don't get involved in a conversation that you know nothing about.
