we ran into that jb. we had movers move us in and when i went to pay with our debit card it wouldn't go through!!
i called the bank and they said they had a limit of 2k on our card, but it was not for bad credit reasons it was to alarm the bank of a large withdrawal or fraud. they were so nice, but i picked a small tiny local bank who calls us by our first name. they even called a few weeks ago to see how my DH was feeling?? LOL!! i can see it now just how nice they would be if they knew we needed a loan of some sort. now, we aren't use to that type of treatment from a bank. we didn't set up a secured card, we just got a debit card from them. interesting fact about this tiny bank, they said they really didn't lose much because they are so conservative in their lending practices that they literally had no problems with their mortgages. most likely because they only gave out three LOL!!
we were just told to call the bank in advance and they would release the funds. i can understand that unless it was 1 am in the morning! i just know now if i need to draw a large amount out of that account i call the bank first.
