    Help, needs answers now!!!

    we went to an attorney in oct and are waiting to file chapter 13
    in january so we can includes taxes owed, during this time period i did borrow money from a couple of payday loan companys, we are getting ready to file now and i reported these loans to my attorney- i really didn't plan getting hung up in a loan like these, but wasn't planning on ending up getting a couple and couldn't come up with the money to pay them off- am i am in trouble? did, i jeopardize my bankruptcy? also, because of them a lot of money has run thru my checking account- what does the judge look for on your statements, i am beyond stressed!!!

    Sorry to keep you waiting -- missed your post earlier.

    Okay, the judge doesn't look at your bank statements, that's a trustee role.

    Don't beat yourself up over pay-day loans; I bet loads of folks that end up in bankruptcy have had them. Certainly there's nothing new under the sun that trustees haven't seen a hundred times before.

    My advice is to take a breath and think about gathering statements and receipts to show the flow of money and what it was used to purchase or pay. You may not need to show that paper trail to anyone official, beyond your lawyer, but it'll be great to have gathered already should you be asked for it by the trustee once your case gets under way.

              BornAgain - please do not go back into prior year's postings in the Archives to answer posts that are five years old. It has been noticed in another thread that you did this as a "joke." Your actions have been noticed by the moderators and consider this a warning that continued infractions can result in a temporary ban from posting.
