Will filing BK for my old US debts affect my credit in Canada ?

I'm a US citizen with US debts, now a permanent resident in Canada. How will this affect my credit here in canada ?

I'm not sure how it could...since Canada's SIN numbers are different than the U.S.'s SSN number. How would Canada even know about the situation. They can't access your credit file in Canada (since they don't have the SIN info)..just my thought.

One more note..i'm a Canadian citizen who is a perm resident of the U.S. My bk in the US has not effected my credit in Canada.

I am sorry, but I have no idea. It is conceivable that some of your old debts may follow you around...
