Do I Really Need A Pacer Account?

I filed chapter 7 and hired an attorney. My 341 is Monday, May 12.
Mine is a simple bankruptcy with no assets.

Do I really need a Pacer account?

    No, it is 100% optional.

I'm of the impression that most people who file BK don't even know what PACER is.
Chapter 7, above median, no asset. Discharged with no UST involvement.

Yeah, you're probably all set at this point. I'm talking to attorneys for a non-consumer 7 and found Pacer really useful for researching them to see what sort experience they had with that.

I did not sign up for one and we discharged without any issues. We also had a home with equity in it and everything turned out fine.

Minor correction. It is 100% optional for a represented debtor (a debtor that has an attorney representing them). it is not optional for a Pro Se debtor (that has filed the bankruptcy by themselves and are considered to be self-represented).
          Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
