I think the most I've spent on earrings in the past 5 years is $4.99.

        A girl's day out...

...before school starts up again. My daughters have volunteered to introduce me to the joys of second-hand shops and "vintage" clothes. We will be in search of something to make me look old and dowdy...I'm thrilled, I guess.

I draw the line at piggin' out for the next two months to better fill out some "old and dowdy" clothes, though. Never lose those pounds easily, I'm afraid, and would blow my "healthy" teaching image, too.

Thanks for all the comments. You know, I have some real gold and diamond stuff (all listed under exemptions, fortunately) but my favorite pair of earrings are little mother of pearl and enamel butterflies with matching pendant that the kids gave me years ago and I know they spent less than $20 at JC penney for it...

            My "role model"???

Good lord! I don't know if I could take it that far...I'd feel like I was dressing for Halloween...and I always tended toward a costume with a peasant/hippielook ... for that 341, I wonder...hmmm...flowers in my hair?

Unfortunately, I am not trying to fill out the old and dowdy clothing, but am just doing it anyway. I know I have been eating more out of stress. I can only blame so much on Prozac and a Decadron LA shot!

I'm probably as big as Mrs. Doubtfire. So much for my moonlighting as a stripper--LOL!!

Our bodies are getting us ready to run...

...away from those saber tooth tigers, but running away from a trustee won't solve much these days...the stress hormones are great for keeping extra blood sugar in our veins to fuel those muscles, but if not used to "run", then it gets pumped into fat-producing pathways and we blow up like a blimp!

Also, a lot easier to relieve stress by reaching for a comfort food instead of heading out for a "?comfort?" run around the block. A lot of my potential "exercise" runs would take me to temptation's door...
Starbuck's, Baskin and Robbins, Panera Bread...all are just past the park's running path...

You don't need to gain weight to fill out the Vintage clothes, BG.

Oversized and "saggy baggy" will say "I'm too poor to buy new since I've lost weight."
