Why haven't I gotten a bill for them? Am I not downloading things? I must not be checking things right.

PACER bills quarterly, only. And, only when you've accumulated in excess of $10 in charges.
You could run up $9.99, if that were possible at $0.08/page, and never get charged by PACER.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Yes... But be careful. My account kept showing a $0.00 balance for a long time, so I kept using pacer for no special reason. Then 3 months later I got a bill for 20 something bucks.Originally posted by SinkingFastPACER bills quarterly, only. And, only when you've accumulated in excess of $10 in charges.

Keep using it and you will definately get a bill!! Be careful...my last bill was over $100. I cancelled some searches, but I guess not in time because they showed up on my bill. I never viewed the information but when I tried to dispute it like they told me to I was told that they were valid searches and the charges would stand...sigh...can't win with them!! So, be careful because the .08 per page can really add up if you don't pay attention.

It doesn't even have to load onto your screen. Its 8 cents per page downloaded. You don't even necessarily have to view the page to be charged. Just pay attention to how many pages each link is before you download it. If you are downloading your entire bk file, thats 30+ pages, or +$2.40 each and every time.Originally posted by Danielle1981so it's .08 per page that loads?

how are you downloading? I usually input my SS# and then click on status or history or something like that? Then it loads a page with bullets. but after that I don't click anything else. Are you able to view the documents that were filed with the courts?Filed 07/14/2006

Danielle, after you click the History/Documents link, the History/Documents Query area appears. make any changes in the options that make sense for what you want to see, then run the query. The History list appears. To see the documents related to items in the lines that have them, click the linked blue number in the far left column. The transaction receipt window will open showing you how many document pages will be downloaded and how much they will cost if you want to see the document related to the number. If you decide you do want to see the document and be charged the amount showing, click the View Document button.Originally posted by Danielle1981how are you downloading? I've attached links to examples of the last two screens here for you -

For billing purposes,............. Just remember to look for a little PACER box. It tells you how many billable pages you're going to view and the price before you proceed. Sometimes, the box is at the bottom of a page. So you can kinda keep a log going of what you've run up in a tab until PACER billing catches up with your actual use.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Glad you figured out what SF and I were trying to explain. However, you may not be thanking us for showing you how to do this after your PACER bill arrives! lol!Originally posted by Danielle1981OMG! *Puts bag on head* I don't think I've even been using it right. I didn't realize I had to click the blue numbers.

Can anyone tell me how often I should be checking pacer for information? I just filed last week and I am not sure how to know if something new has been added or not. Is there something in the beginning that says something that will let me know if I should look into it? I tend to go on and click on almost everything for my case because I don't know how to tell if anything has been added or not. ThanksFiled: 08/09/06

I usually check our PACER case every 1-2 weeks just to see if something changed, and of course, I get on immediately when there's a reason (an objection arrives in the mail, for example). I watch our case on 13Network a lot more closely (every 4-5 days) since it's free. After we're confirmed, I don't think I'll feel the need to check either one as often.Originally posted by miss puffCan anyone tell me how often I should be checking pacer for information?
