For these reasons, it makes sense to me to use Experian $24.99/month score as they are FICO 8 scores updated every 30 days and credit reports every 30 days. Sure, Equifax is 19,.99/month but it is again Vantage 3. "Shipo" pointed out the difference between vantage 3 and FICO 8. I am in the gardening stage now and took out an SSL from NFCU for $3,000, but on at least one report, it does say it's a "secured loan"-I believe Experian. I am not getting ANY more credit cards unless I get to the point of being offered in a pre-approval a large bonus mile card. We'll see how long that takes. My credit in May (even before my 7/29/24 discharge official court recording) was 3K CapOne Savor and 1.5 Mission Lane. With my secured load and NFCU nRewards 5K secured card, my total lines are now 18,000, with 15,000 being revolving and one almost paid off 3,000 secured loan from NFCU.
