    Providing Tax Return to Trustee

    Hi everyone,

I'm filing a chapter 7 (pro se) and all I need to do before my 341 meeting is provide the trustee with a copy of last years tax return.

Is there any sort of cover letter I should include when mailing it to the trustee's law office? Or should I just put the return in an envelope and mail it? I'm sorry if I'm coming off as way to detail-oriented, but I've spent to much time on this to screw it up at this point.

    Thanks!

I would add a simple cover letter with your name, case number, and any other contact information should they have questions. It's not a complex letter. Just "As requested, attached is a copy of my 20XX Federal Tax Return and 20XX State Tax Return. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at 999-555-1212. Thank you."

I would also bring a copy with me to the 341 Meeting... just to make sure!
