Got discharged 11/23/10. Car taken 12/20/10. Thank goodness! The guy asked me "Do you wanna try to get it back!" My answer to that was um. . . "no." They were nice guys. They gave me time to get all my stuff. Glad that's over with.

Going to see cars today (12/24). You're so right. It was such a huge relief to see them take that car away.

I drove my audi q7 for 5 months for free, it was great.

yes, did you....

we never waited for the "guys" to come...we just surrendered ours since we were moving out of state and felt it was not right for the credit union to come 1700 to retrieve it...they said we were the FIRST people to have to that..and of course it was rather a hassle because the credit union didn't have a "car lot"...so special arrangements had to be made and it took a 4 hour one way trip...but it was back in their laps and no more big payments!!!

How are you able to purchase a new car right after BK?

I was able to secure a loan for a rate of 20%, which I'll refinance in a few months. I intentionally wanted a loan to have something reported with the credit bureaus to help rebuild my credit. I'll try to pay it off next year.

you got that right!!!!!!! although....we did "owner" financing....which was even better at 5% no closing fees other than the normal title search etc....cool...we are SO excited!!!!!
