You do realize that you can buy a new washer, dryer, and laptop today for less than $2000, and that's assuming that Best Buy is serious about enforcing their "security interest", which I know they're not. The smartest thing to do is offer to settle for some small amount, such as $100 to $200. They'll take the settlement because they know that the used items are practically worthless and that just the costs to reposess and store them will exceed the settlement you're offering.

      Thanks for the answers
They filed 53 pages showing all store receipts from 10/06 thru 10/11
Last thing we purchased was in October 2010 ~ some DVDs and CDs
Our total was $7200 on the credit card when we filed but they only claim $2k
I doubt they want DVDs, CDs and software!
So should my attorney make the offer to them or does it have to thru the court?
The court letter said we could object, make provisions for it to be priority or secured, file a motion to avoid creditor lien
It says our plan is no longer feasible if this claim is applied as secured.
Whats weird is my attorneys letter says $887.03 but court says $2k
I wonder if he has already talked to them? Paralegal didn't know where the $884 figure came from
