Here is a kicker that might push you over the edge. I just have to laugh or I would cry. JAG tells me that if I do decide to file a personal bankruptcy that I will loose my Security Clearance and most likely they will remove me from the military because of it.
Soooooo my country asked me to serve and I did proudly, which resulted in me losing my business, which caused my to file bankruptcy which in return causes me to lose my career in the military. Does anyone see something wrong in this?
If I don't file for bankruptcy then I will spend the rest of my life paying for a debt that I can never pay off and living on a salary that is being garnished every payday that is not enough to live on. I understand why Vets live on the streets. What choices are we given. Used, abused and stripped of all we have, then given no protection to defend ourselves. I cannot even get the military to pay for my legal concerns that they caused.
Sorry but I needed just one second to vent....... I hate to complain. I have always met my challenges head on and survived. I will this time too.
please staylor, contact the local media...you have put me over the edge!!!!!! and i can't do anything!!!! if i was there i would be on the phone 24/7 to anyone...my mayor, congressman, i'd be at their offices!!!i would be on the phone with every local station there was and then some!
hate complaining????...i don't know, i certainly think there is more than plenty room to be complaining about this situation.
You make me laugh. Thanks for the support. I just roll with the punches. I still have my health and my life and Im happy about that. Many of my friends dont have that anymore so I dont feel I have much room to complain.

no problem!!! i'm sure it's the forum's pleasure as well as mine!
I know this is a few days late, but to the OP, good grief. Regardless of polictics, it's clear that the banksters could give a rats behind about human beings. Discraceful.
Re what the JAG told you - look, my bk atty handles a lot of fed/military ee's, and he says that bk is normally NOT going to lose you a clearance, not even in the "intelligence community." Owing money lots of it, might!
Do you think the JAG atty has a clue about what he/she is talking? Maybe they've no clue...

That information is waaaaaaaaaaaaay off base.

i thought that sounded somewhat off to me. i just cannot believe one can LOSE their position over a bk, i can understand someone may not want to hire someone after doing a credit check and finding one filed bk under certain circumstances. although, if one didn't get a job one would never know why unless they were told point blank, "we didn't hire you because you filed a bk".

i guess that's why there is even MORE unemployment, since most likely half the 14 million out jobs, it would not be surprising, but likely, half of those unemployed, went bk and can't get a job??? wow!!!
why don't they just take all of us that went bk and put us in a "territory"...like the american indians?????
