Current installment agreement already and will again owe this year

Hi! We currently have an installment agreement in place for our federal taxes. We will owe again this year, and I'm not sure yet how I am paying it in full. Does anyone know, if I call the IRS and agree to pay the balance for 2016 in full within their 120 day guideline, will that put my current agreement in default?

The IRS will usually warn you in advance. I did an extension one year while I had an open OPA. The extension did not affect the OPA. I don't know if my situation was different or if the rules changed since 2008.
