I drove 3 hrs to give him the bid. (where i use to live) After i gave him the bid of $5300. He changed his mind.

My kitty (Sqeak) goes right up the 6 ft ladder with no effort.
shoot we did all our painting and papering ourselves...we got down here and didn't want to buy all the stuff...plus the vaulted ceilings...yikes...so it cost us $400 to get this place painted ....papering would have been too expensive for us...

sorry about not getting the job...but for every no you are closer to a yes!! or so i keep telling myself...

As far as the benefits extensions go, I agree with 'Hub in that they were past due to come to an end. I feel that UE has created a false floor.. With it, many people actively seeking jobs are turning opportunities down because they make more or equal with UE and don't have to work.

    Good luck to you!
well...don't WE WISH we were included in that group that are turning down those opportunities...but sadly enough we are not...

there is a faction of the population which is more silent than most. the mid and upper management white collar workers that were ousted because of their high salaries and most had long standing employment ....well over 10 and let go. these people simply have no place left in our work place. ask this question....would you hire me with 6 years of college and over 50 to work on the town roads??? or build the new court house....? these are NOT jobs we can do at this point in our lives. maybe, even as a woman, i could have gone and poured concrete. so which jobs or opportunities am i turning away???

we as i stated were luckier than most and have small pension and one of us was able to take early ss. there are NO jobs for us out there ...and if there are where are they...in texas...california...ny...can someone just tell me where they are???? i can do anything if given the opportunity...just tell me where they are?

I think that UI will be extended again at some point. Congress will make a lot of noise about "fiscal responsibility" before the elections, and then quietly approve an extension later, funded by cuts elsewhere.

your sweet...and i have tried it's over 200 application with my national cert from bu...with my grade point attached... nothing...

...actually i was rather upset with the firm i used because they hired two people while they were doing mine and i was helping them sooooo much...i'm to old i think because it was a really young firm

Hmmm...that's an idea (as I scrutinize the juvenile gator in the pond outside).
