U.S. Bankruptcy Court " Central District of CA" Unemployment Compensation

Does anyone know the specific policy pertaining to unemployment compensation within Central District of CA? For example Santa Ana, CA?

I've been reviewing the income means test, interested in some information pertaining to the district in which we reside. My income qualifies without having to complete the income means test, however my spouse has been receiving temp. unemployment. If I have to include my spouses income, prior 6 months than we exceed the income threshold. In this case, would be required to show all expenses and so forth.

you may be able to research your answer on the net....

here in florida it varies from county to county...whether unemployment insurance payments are exempt or not....in our county is was...so it did not count on the means test...whereas, the very next county over it does count....

california may have a general rule...county....district...it's hard to say...some counties have means tests by zip code so you can see whether UI is included...others don't. i would ask you atty and if you are doing this pro se, i would research it very carefully.

    best of luck!!
