    Credit cards with no balance

Do your credit cards with no balance get closed during a chapter 7

    #2
Because most of the credit card companies subscribe to the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Center directly or indirectly through the credit bureaus, nearly 99.99% of credit cards, even with a $0 balance, are canceled. I did have two cards survive that were at $0 just by pure luck. One was a VISA and the other was Jareds. They worked perfectly after discharge. But then I poked the bear asking Jared for a credit line increase and they closed it because... bankruptcy.

Expect that they'll all be closed. If the creditor doesn't close it automatically just use it with caution (after discharge).
