BK'd more than once?

Hi, this is a great forum! You all seem like family! Got room for one more?

Okay, curious. Anyone here ever file for BK before?

I'll go first. I filed last October and it was my 2nd Chapter 7.

First: It was 1989, I was 27 and filed in Virginia. Reason: Single, living beyond my means, trying to keep up with the Jones' and using credit as an extension of my income.

Second: It was 2005, I was 43 and filed in New York State. Reason: Business failure led to long period of unemployment, borrowed too much money to survive.

Yeah, I have a hard head and was young and didn't learn my lesson, you can believe that this time, I have!

Anyone else?

No, this place is fine, Betty - no need to apologize. It may be that none of us posting today have filed bankruptcy before. We have had members who have - just not sure they are hanging around today. So glad you feel like you've learned how to avoid a "three-peat" this time around!
