Tonight, as I was waiting for my Sister to come so we could go to the Fair, I told Demi to stand by the back door and when Aunt Ericka came to come and tell me. Well anywhere from 5-10 minutes had passed and I was done working on the
computer, so I went in search of Demi so we could both wait for my Sister. I couldn't find her. I yelled for her in the backyard
because that's where Jim said she was, I even dreadfully checked the pool. I came back in and ran upstairs because I was sure she was there. Jim said, "no, she's in the back yard". I said "no, she's not I JUST checked." At this point, I'm starting to panic, she's not in the house, she's not in the backyard, where in the hell is she?????????????
Jim walked out the back door (still convinced she WAS back there and I just missed her) and as I was running back downstairs now in full panic mode because she wasn't up there, he says "she in my car". I bolted out the back door and sure enough, she got out of the gate, opened the car door and closed it. When I got there, she was panicking, sweating profusely and crying hysterically.
You guys, I almost died right there. I'm still in shock and cannot shake the feeling of, what if. What if, I had waited until my sister showed up to go for Demi to go to the fair. What if, what if.
So please, please remember to make sure you kids cannot get locked inside a car. I cannot stress that enough. You know, you hear it all the time on TV and read about it in the paper. Tonight, it might have been my Demi!
