I just totally love this movie! Everytime I see it it puts me into a good mood. It takes me back to my highschool days and makes me wish I had joined the band instead of playing soccer.

I like Drumline too, danaf. Both of our kids did march in our high school band all four years each. I always loved the half time football field band performance a lot more than the game I had to sit through on either side!

I have never seen this movie, but it sounds like one I would like.
We are definitly a band family. DS was in the HS band for 7 yrs, and a drum major his SR year.( oh the dvantages/disadvantages of a SMALL school system) Made 4 states honor band 3 or 4 years. Played in his college band as a walkon last year.
DD is going into her 2nd year of HS band. I made her play trumpet because of the bk and having an old one of DS's laying around.
I go to football games for the halftime show, and have been known to go to the marching contests when they are either close or I can get off work to chaperone.

I thought I was the only one. I just finished watching it again for the millioneth time...lol and my favorite part is not what you would expect, it was the face off where the drum sticks were thrown at the other bands feet. Man talk about intense....that was deep.
