You probably won't be able to get a student loan while you are in an active Ch 7, and you can't get one without your trustee's prior permission because you'll be taking on new debt.
It will be best to wait to apply until after your bankruptcy is closed - it's typically about 90-120 days from start to finish for an uncomplicated case.
After that, the answer is yes - you can get student loans even with a recent bankruptcy. See http://www.finaid.org/questions/bankruptcy.phtmlI am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Stafford Loans are available to all Students. Regardless of Credit worthiness. If you qualify, you can get a Subsidized Stafford Loan. The Gov't pays the interest that accrues while you're in school if you qualify financially.
There's Pell Grants and State Grants if you qualify financially.
Generally, you have to fill out the FAFSA to determine what aid you'll qualify for.

Even tho most States list an application deadline date, you can still get Stafford Loans for any semester. Like you could apply now for money to start school in January. It generally takes at least a couple months to process.
Also,.......... Since you're gonna file BK,.......... If you don't get enough assistance from other sources,......... Go into the school's Financial Aid office. Explain about filing BK. Fin Aid officers have the ability to make "Case by Case" assistance decisions.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
