What Have We all been doing after the Discharge? Good Things? Bad Things?

I will start off because I started this thread. I have been checking this site and trying to help out anybody who needs it because everyone was so helpful to me. I have been making sure to save even a little money. I pay the bills that were not discharged or the ones I signed an affirmation for before the due date with 1.00 dollar extra always. Just my little way of paying a little more...might not be much, but it makes me feel good to do it.

I have made my family so sick with my constant watchful eye when it comes to bad money management and bad spending habits. I am surprised that they have not disowned me, but since the BK I have discovered that it is real easy to spot the ones heading for disaster. I hope and pray that as I ease on down this road of recovery that I will be more humble and easy going and try not to judge others so harsh. I was real bad when I had money. I looked down on others with no money thinking that I had so much of it and was living the high life. Boy was I ever wrong. I now try to lead by example. It ain,t easy, but I,m doing it.

I take care of what I have and make it last. I clip coupons. I shop more for sales and I try and buy in bulk to prevent from buying in haste. I actually like me now...lol

We like you too, 6ft! You have been a tremendous support for so many folks here, and now an inspiration to those filers who are newer in the process. You've learned the hard lessons of bankruptcy so well! Hope you'll be sticking around to share how your rebuilding is going - so glad you're here with us!
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

good morning 6ft ladycop.......good for you.....I don't care how much money a person had or what their spending habits were....bk will humble them.....hopefully it will teach them how hard it is to save money and to have a little put away.....my discharge is too new to really start on the process of getting used to the money the creditors won't be getting.....just a
couple more loose ends to tie up with my case before it closes....you have to adress your priorities first....cut corners second.....put a little away and watch that spending......I know I will....worked too hard to get discharged and not going to blow it.....you are a good person with good intentions.....god bless and have a good relaxing wekend.....guzzie
