This is a couple of years on the market but to me it is a new product I just came across on TV last night. I laughed so hard as I watched it, then as I considered having more than one cat, this would be a great addition to caring for cats. It is a cat toilet that flushes into your own toilet.

I know there are kitty lovers around here

I bet the cats would play in it as much as they poo poo in it, just make sure they dont play with the buttons on top.
What do you think? Ever seen one before? Would it be a good deal over the price of kitty litter?

    Too funny!!

I've never seen this one but I've seen another similar one. I think if you introduce it to a kitten and they are raised with it, it should be fine. But my cat is 11 years old and I think this would freak him out.
Yo ho, Yo ho, a pirates life for me

Great idea! I agree w/DisneyGirl. Something you need to start when they're little. I'd say over the life of a cat it would more than pay for itself by cutting out having to buy litter. Cool invention!

I agree with DisneyGirl and esedlo. Maybe if you use such gadgets when the cat is a tiny kitten it would work. I adopted my cat when he was 12 weeks old and from the beginning I used Tidy Cats Scoopable litter with great results. When my furbaby was about 4 years old, however, my friend gave me a LitterMaid Self-Cleaning Automatic Litter Box, and my cat literally freaked out. I even tried having both the regular litter box and the LitterMaid next to each other, and far away from each other. I followed all the instructions that came with it, and also searched for advice online. Forget it. My cat simply refused to use the automatic contraption. In the end, I gave it to my cousin who occasionally has garage sales.

But perhaps if I had used it from the very beginning it would be a different story today? I would think it may the same with the CatGenie.
