Hub, how old is the cat? Not saying that this is the case with yours, and I certainly hope not, but extreme thirst in a cat can be a sign of kidney failure. Did the vet test her urine for color? The clearer the pee, the more advanced the disease. Sorry to be so blunt, but I lost a cat to that a few years ago.

And sorry to hear about your sweetie being taken down by that awful scandal. That is truly sad and I would have totally freaked.

For the same reasons that cats like plants. For some reason, the dark leafy greens calm their tummies. Perfectly normal.

My brother is convinced that the neigbors killed his dog a few years ago by purposely sending halloween candy over the fence. And knowing those neighbors, I believe it.

Be very careful what you give your animals. A little research would be a good thing for any animal owners. Garlic, for example, can be lethal to cats.

        Read up.

Now, I am not religious, but I do believe there is a special place in so called "hell" for animal and child abusers.

I firmly beleive that any man/woman that will abuse an animal will abuse their own family members too, men and women alike........

It's a "mean streak" in them that's dangerous to everyone!! They can't take their frustrations out on people so they take them out on poor animals....

I too, believe that their is a "payback" somewhere down the line for abusing God's creatures.....

Horrible how the "owner" left this poor cat to fend for itself! The owner was having financial troubles and had to move and just left the cat! Horrible, horrible!

If my financial problems were really that bad, I would leave the kids in the house and take the dog with me.

Maybe they are eating the greens for the water content? If they seem to like them, I would start mixing their food with a few greens.

Cats are so damn smart, lol.
My cat's diet consists of both dry food (Science Diet Hairball Control formula) which I leave out all day for him to eat, and 1/2 a can of Science Diet adult food in the morning and another 1/2 can in the evening. I know that he drinks some water every day because I check his bowl and fill it with fresh water daily. He's a large cat, but not fat l ------ he weighs 10.6 lbs. He'll be 7 years old in October. He's also an indoor cat and never goes outside.

He does love his salad greens, though! LOL

Hi ep: The cat in question has been with us since July 2003, and right off I noted that she drinks a lot of water. The vet was told, and they seem not to be concerned: just watch and look for any change. So far, this is Aug. 2008 and she is well, except for being VERY flea allergic. I have to use Advantage every month--which can run up $$$$ wise. She is the little girl in my avatar.

The other cat that was lost to the Chinese food poisoning was very sad. We miss him too. I keep watching for something about a Class Action suit--I have two food cans, my reciept and the vet bill, but so far nothing really.
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

oh yea...never feed your pets chocolate. It's not good for them and can they can get VERY sick.
