Anyone still getting cc offers in the mail?

After reading this recently posted thread where the person there borrows money from family, did the credit card offers really dry up too?

I started getting tons of offers several years ago about a month after discharge and called the toll free number to opt out and haven't seen one.

I'm just wondering if they really did wise up and stop sending mailers out especially to dogs and dead people.

I opted out too so I've seen none banca.

Sadly it takes about 30 days to wander through the system, they could still be sending them out .

I also did the opt out several years ago, haven;t seen any in years. My Husband did not, and he still gets them.

I just filed on July 31st, have had my 341, and am awaiting discharge hopefully mid-November. I've recieved at least 3 offers in the last month.

            Thanks for all the replies.

Just wanted to see if their really is a "credit crunch" oh my! or if it's just typical media BS.

Don't think that anyone will see any credit card offers in the near future. CC outfits want to see what will happen next in this bailout mess. What will happen more likely is that credit limits will be slashed and/or not increased.

We should be so lucky at least for our children's sake. Slash away.

No offense to this forum which has been great but it will be nice if it's a thing of the past and future generations don't end up here with the knot in their stomachs we all know too well.

I stopped getting CC offers until after my 341. Now I receive all kinds of car loan offers, often with CC's attached in an effort to entice.

                  No thank you,

After our discharge in 8/06, we received TONS of offers from places we never heard of as to auto loans, personal loans and, believe it or not, many vacation brochures. Everyone is out to make a buck I guess and just waits for the lists of BK discharged people from the BK Court and get the mailings out. Those may not slow down but the mailings for CC cards from banks have already stopped or slowed down. Credit cards will be very hard to obtain for anyone, even with good credit, for a while until this credit crunch passes. We received one which would rack up points with Harley Davidson last week but since I am a big recycler, names get shredded and the rest goes into the recycle bin.

I got one on Friday you could tell they got it from the BK record because of the way they put the names on it. I think I am done with credit for a while.

We're still getting them every 2-3 days. I just shred them and put 'em in the recycle bin.

I received two credit card offers, plus and three car loan offers (Two from US Bank and one from some place here in Michigan I've never heard of).

                            BEFORE my 341.

I haven't paid on my cards in months and am getting ready to file and I get a couple a week. I just laugh and rip them up.
