Staci, I love it, especially the potential dates, they look like they are ready to play the dating game, but imagine what they will look like when the date walks in the door. no smiles or waves then hahaha

Cool sims, bkf really needs to pick one. He is running out of body parts to post, one only knows what we might be forced to look at next .

Oh-the latest news on Sim-Staci. Avery is now a toddler and has learned to walk & talk. She is also potty trained. And, Sim-Staci is most likely pregnant-if so, the vampire is the dad... Aiden hasn't said anything. Perhaps because his lifetime goal is to woohoo with 20 different Sims. Glad Sim-Staci didn't marry him!

I just don't want anyone to accuse my Sim of teaching their Sim bad habits... She is a good mom, just hasn't quite found her soulmate yet!

The vampire probably cast a spell on her and she was not responsible for her own actions. However, the baby will be loved as it is never the child's fault what the mother is into. lol

But Sim vampires are not evil. They're handicapped, really. They lose energy in the sunlight-so are limited in what jobs they can work. And, they only bite their friends/loved ones. Maybe because they want company. I did read that babies can't be born vampires, but once someone is turned into a vampire-they don't grow older.

Also-believe it or not, Sim Vampires go swimming and get in the hot tub & eat spaghetti. Thought they'd be afraid of even a small chance of a little holy water being mixed in, or garlic on the sauce.

How long did it take you to learn enough to really get into creating a Sims world?

I started along time ago when Sims first came out. Each add on brought new elements to the game. I know that was at least 5+ years ago, because I remember being in a particular apartment and DH & I playing on 2 different computers. We lived there when my 1st DD was a baby, and she will be 6 soon... The main difference in Sims 2 is that Sims age, so you can carry a Sim family thru multiple generations.

I know there are plenty of things I don't use-so I make an effort to try new things here & there. There is a tutorial, with hints & such. For someone just starting out-I would suggest getting used to the game play before building your own house. (There are premade ones.)

I'm not sure... You can check out thesims.com and thesims2.com. You can pick up the original Sims for pretty cheap, though you may not be able to find the original without any of the expansion packs. Walmart has the entire original w/ all expansions for about $35-40.

Sims2 is higher in price as its newer. I got Sims 2 Christmas '04, and got the expansion packs this past Christmas. I have a sneaky suspicion I'll get Open For Business next year (due out in a couple of months).

Another idea-check w/ your local library and see if you can borrow Sims2. You need the CD to run the game, but could try it out and see what you think.

(And if you could borrow Sims 2 & Sims 2 University, you would only need to buy Sims 2 Nightlife. Or, borrow Nightlife also and in about 6 weeks, buy Open for Business. You only need the last disk of the most recent expansion pack to play.)
