    I know people who worked part-time and then got fired and collected unemployment benefits. And these were private companies, not government jobs.

    Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.

      This depends on how many hours the part timers work. As long as they work for less than they would get in unemployment, there are no problems.
