i know! that's why we didn't stay and pay. or stay longer to save money...what money could we have saved on UI with that heating and electric bill? not much. so we really had no choice other than to go.

i mean that 8k was our mortgage and all expenses to live there. of course when were making about 15k a month that didn't seem like much we always lived within our means. even had savings. i thought i was so smart saving for our retirement and little did i know what was going to happen to us.

now all i do is put every dime into paying off this house... (almost, as we have been saving as well, of course not as much as we had before). hopefully at a min we should be done with it in another 10 months, or before i hope i hope i hope!!

      Tobee,
I know that is why we have thought about selling when I don't have my emotions involved. When we had the realtor in for our CMA she said we would have a very hard time selling in this market due to the high fuel cost

We just sent off a check to FPL for $900.00. Before anyone faints, we are a farm and have several out-buildings. This is actually a 'creep-up' of several -payments that we have been running behind on. With our yearly stipend from our Retirement Trust, we have finally knocked that one down. Now if we can just keep it to @ $400 a month. But as has been noted, the utilities keep going up, and our 'fixed income' is staying firmly 'fixed'.
