No they should say closed - because most creditors will close the account when bankruptcy is filed.
You can dispute this, or close the account your self. May sure it says "Included in Bankruptcy - the date - and $00.00 balance due.....
Hope this helps...Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Check out http://finance.yahoo.com/creditcards...e?a=20031003a1 for a good explanation of how to cancel a credit card account the right way. Good luck - hope it is a painless process for you.Originally posted by amyl View PostHow do I close the account myself?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
