    hurricane sandy and expense

I had to replace my roof and fence due to hurricane sandy. Of course the insurance I had thru chase did not cover those expenses. I am not two payments behind with trustee had to use the money. Could my lawyer ask the court to modify my plan and put those payments behind or spread over the remaining three years.

i know governor christie told everyone to put their claims in as a "storm" and not hurricane and that way it suppose to be covered?

i can't see the trustee not working with you on this. also, you can and should be able to put a FEMA claim in.

Yes, you can ask your lawyer to put in a motion to modify your plan. I don't think you should have any trouble. Lord knows you have plenty of company up there.

This will be no different from how the courts handled Katrina. Concessions will be made to accommodate those in financial need. Just discuss this with your attny - but, remember, he/she was affected as well and may be slow in responding.

Glad you are safe. Roofs and other personal property can be replaced.
