Actually, I did not think it was a competition. I thought it was to be informative but not exhaustive. I didn't list any of my creditors (only the amount $1M) because my 341 is still continued and this is a public forum. Thank you debtmonster for thinking up the thread, it does give us an idea of the diversity of BK filers, but I think that each of us has a line beyond which we will not disclose.
I would not put anything that would make it too easy to identify you, such as exact dollar amounts or city/state information.
Maybe we could start a bankruptcy competition on a new thread? That would be a hoot, wouldn't it?!?! Hehehhehehe.

Citi Financial is gonna be pissed!
We make about $43,000 per year. Our ch 7 limit is like in the $80K's.
We are keeping:

Once these loans are paid off, we will strive to live a cash-only lifestyle. I will probably just float around, I can't imagine how freeing that will be!!!

That's H-U-G-E!! I bet when enough people do this, it affects their stocks.
If one takes the time to review this thread and exactly what is occurring and amounts being discharged, in the long run everyone, including all of us, suffers from all of this in some way and it is not a laughing matter for anyone, contemplating BK, in BK, out of BK, in debt or out of debt and not contemplating filing. We ALL pay for losses by creditors/banks in some way, either in higher fees or costs on many things in our daily lives. I don't think my filing BK was a laughing matter and I certainly did not intend to stick it to anyone or affect anyone's stocks. Even though we paid back 64% of our unsecured debt I still felt bad about the unpaid portion because it was me/hubby who purchased/borrowed to our benefit. When businesses suffer losses, when employees steal from their employers or when people commit fraud with the government/state, when fraudulent claims are filed with insurance companies or when people shoplift from stores, just to name a few incidences, and losses are incurred, we all pay for it in some way.
What I am trying to do is paint the big picture that usually no one ever cares or wants to see as to the result of all of this - the ramifications to all of us from all the BKs and losses that are occurring and that will continue to occur for quite some time just making things harder for everyone in the long run.

I dont want to add that up. Im mortified and never thought I'd be in this position. I am looking forward to my chapter 7 discharge and a fresh start. The value of paying cash for everything has already been an inevitability for the past year, as thats when I could no longer afford to pay my credit cards.
