    Means Test - Line 45 Chapter 13 Admin Expenses

    We're currently reviewing our chapter 7 filing papers this weekend for a Monday signing. We'll be asking the lawyer these questions on Monday too, but thought I might ask them here for insight.

    Means test Line 45, "Chapter 13 Admin Expenses" has a figure in 45a, and we're not sure how that was arrived at. What math is done to determine 45a (Projected average monthly chapter 13 plan payment) Where are they getting this number?

    Thanks in advance.

    I deleted my original answer to answer the actual question you asked.

    45a = line 42 + line 43 + line 44 + 1/60 of line 54

    LadyInTheRed is in the black!
    Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
    $143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!

      Lady, thanks for revising...

      Now bear in mind, my lawyer prepared these.

      My line line 42 + line 43 + line 44 = more than what I find on line 45a lol.

      Since my Means test 'passes' at line 51 (and noted in 52), 54 was never reached. by reading, I understand how 54 is reached and that number would add a significant amount to the total if it were to be used. none-the-less it wasn't needed.

      Could the number in line 45a be a standard trustee fee which can be derived without any other numbers?

      Thanks for your input Lady.

        Breathing,

        Its basically what your disposable income, line 50 of the means test, would be if you were to leave line 45a blank.

        So if you skip 45, get your DMI, then put that number into 45a, get the 9.5% value for 45b, then incorporate 45b into the result and get your new DMI.

        Hope it makes sense.
